APOD: 2005 September 25 - WMAP Resolves the Universe

NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day Archive for September 25, 2005 is a high-resolution map of microwave light. Results indicate the age of the universe and rate of expansion. Mind blowing stuff. It always makes me think of a quote by (I think) Carl Sagan that I will paraphrase Wouldn't it be amazing to find out that there was intelligent life somewhere other than on Earth. And, given the vastness of the universe, wouldn't it be amazing if there weren't intelligent life out there
